2oz Blanco Tequila
1oz Honey Syrup (1:1 honey to water or else it won't dissolve)
1oz Lemon Juice
- Place all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake for 15 seconds. Serve up in coupe glass.
"Amaretto Sour Variation"
2oz Amaretto
1/2oz Rye
3/4oz lemon juice
(Optional 1/4oz simple syrup)
-- Place all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake for 15 seconds. Serve in a rocks glass over ice.
"Big Trouble in Little Cynar Town"
1oz American Gin
1oz Cynar
1oz Sweet Vermouth (I use Carpano Antica)
3 coffee beans
-- Place all ingredients in mixing glass with ice and stir for 15 seconds. Pour into rocks glass over ice removing coffee beans
"Coquito"
1 1/2 cup aged rum (I used Flor De Cana 7 year)
1 oz rum per glass when serving.
1 can Cream of Coconut
1 cup Coconut Water
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 can evaporated milk
4 cinnamon sticks
handfull of allspice berries
1 nutmeg
- Put spices and coconut water in a pan and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Remove spices (or strain through a cheesecloth if you used ground spices) and mix in remaining ingredients whisking thoroughly. Bottle and let cool in fridge. Add an extra ounce of rum to a rocks glass with ice and add 5 oz of Coquito mixture. Stir and enjoy.

Happy 200th Whiparound, Citizens! Yes, it’s been a long, weird, hard, weird, bizarre, WEIRD road, and it stretches waaaay further than this, but NOW is the time to celebrate! WITH MORE WEIRD NEWS! Ayup, while the ep is a tiny bit puffier, it’s ANYTHING but fluffy; the Whippy Bois came. To. DELIVER.
Shaun introduces a new door in the Macabrenet, and it leads to a new sub-segment all about Shaun’s most coveted death-related artifacts! And this first time, it’s got something to do with getting into the mindset of the most infamous pirate of all time: BLACKBEARD! Meanwhile, in boozy-science news, Phil has found (surely not after exhaustive search, of course!) actual scientific evidence that red wine…*checks notes* makes people happy!
